A modern seated angel in unglazed bisque — cross-legged with tall oval wings rising behind, robe folds gathered simply at the front, hands meeting at a small cupped point in the lap. The face is a smooth minimalist oval framed by a swept hood of hair. A calm, contemporary companion to our hooded reader.
